Urban radio every where has something to talk about all day. Former President Barack Obama is in metro Atlanta on Wednesday to rally support for Democratic candidates Sen. Jon Ossoff and Keisha Lance Bottoms. Bottoms spoke earlier, making a pitch for why she should be governor. She was followed by Ossoff, who introduced Obama. Obama called out the president on a number of fronts, including corruption and economic challenges caused by tariffs and the war against Iran.
Ossoff is running for re-election in U.S. Senate against Republican challenger U.S. Rep. Mike Collins while Bottoms is facing Republican candidate Rick Jackson in the Georgia governor’s face. The crowd was warmed up by dignitaries, including U.S. Sen. Rev. Raphael Warnock. The visit from the parties’ biggest names have ramped up this month and will continue leading up to Election Day on Tuesday. Former Vice President Kamala Harris will stop in Georgia for Bottoms and Ossoff on today.
