The Steve Harvey Morning Show co-hosts Carla Ferrell and Junior joined breast cancer survivors, supporters and advocates as ambassadors for Sista Strut Breast Cancer Awareness Walks in Detroit, Chicago and Jacksonville, helping raise awareness about breast cancer and the importance of early detection.
In Detroit, Ferrell was joined by Mix 92.3’s ya girl Cheron, an eight-year breast cancer survivor, and recording artist Raheem DeVaughn as co-hosts of “Mix 92.3’s 27th Annual Sista Strut” on September 26, 2026. The annual 3K walk kicked off at Spirit of Detroit Plaza and benefitted Henry Ford Health’s Game On Cancer.
iHeartMedia Chicago’s seven-station cluster joined together for the ninth annual “Sista Strut Pink Celebration,” benefiting Sisters Network Chicago, Inc., on Saturday, October 3, at the Salvation Army Ray & Joan Kroc Corps Community Center. Ferrell hosted the event alongside V103 midday personality Bionce Foxx, Inspiration 1390 morning host and V103’s Get Your Praise On host Sonya Blakey, and 103.5 KISS FM morning contributor and WGCI weekend host KeKe Hampton. Presented by Your Local Ford Dealers, the event drew record attendance and supported Sisters Network Chicago, a Black breast cancer survivorship organization.
iHeartMedia Jacksonville’s 11th annual “Sista Strut” took place on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at VyStar Ballpark. Presented by The Law Offices of Ron Sholes, P.A., the event benefited Sisters Network Northeast Florida and The Pink Queen B Foundation, Inc. Junior served as ambassador alongside local hosts Easy E from V101.5 and DJ Whiz Kid from 93.3 The Beat.
Sista Strut is a cause marketing campaign that raises awareness of breast cancer, with a particular focus on women of color.
