The National Black Radio Hall of Fame proudly announces the upcoming induction of the Class of 2026, continuing a powerful legacy of honoring excellence, influence, and impact in the world of Black radio and media.
Founded in St. Louis by our esteemed Founder and President, Mr. Bernie Hayes, the National Black Radio Hall of Fame was established in 2010 to preserve, celebrate, and elevate the rich contributions of African Americans in radio broadcasting. What began as a vision has grown into a nationally recognized institution that shines a spotlight on pioneers, innovators, and community leaders who have shaped the sound and soul of radio.
This year’s class represents an extraordinary group of professionals from 19 different states, showcasing the national reach and enduring influence of Black radio across America. The selection process was conducted with integrity and transparency, as the electronic ballots were officially certified and approved by the National Board of Directors.

The celebration will culminate in a spectacular induction ceremony on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at the Sonesta Charlotte Lower South End, 5700 West Park Drive, Charlotte, North Carolina 28217. This is more than an event, it’s a reunion, a celebration, and a moment in history.
Attendees are encouraged to arrive early and join us on Friday evening for our highly anticipated “Family Gathering,” where past and present Hall of Fame members come together for fellowship, storytelling, and connection. It’s a rare and special opportunity to be in the room with legends while welcoming the next generation of greatness.
From unforgettable moments to powerful recognition, this year’s induction weekend promises to be the place to be for anyone who values the culture, history, and future of Black radio.
