Stingray has reached an agreement with global automaker Stellantis to integrate its TuneIn audio application directly into select future Stellantis vehicles. The agreement will give drivers access to TuneIn’s catalog of more than 100,000 radio stations, along with podcasts, news, music and programming from local, national and international broadcasters.
The in-vehicle application will include integrated driver controls for functions including playing, pausing and changing audio while on the road.
“Stellantis is an incredible partner that shares our vision for creating exceptional in-car experiences,” said TuneIn CEO Rich Stern. “Our teams have been working closely together to create an experience that feels like a natural extension of each vehicle while giving drivers seamless access to the world’s best live audio.”
Parent company Stingray said the Stellantis agreement is part of its broader strategy to expand distribution of its audio services in automobiles and increase the availability of branded in-vehicle audio experiences. The companies did not identify which Stellantis brands or vehicle models will initially offer TuneIn or when the integration will become available.
