The 2025 National Juneteenth Digital Opportunity Bible Study features an impressive lineup of speakers and invited guests, each with insights and expertise to help foster discussions on equipping Black communities with workforce development skills for an AI-driven job market. Rev. Traci Blackmon, a national faith leader, pastor, teacher, preacher, and public theologian, will deliver an inspiring keynote address. This gathering will bring together key influencers from various sectors, including faith, technology, and education, all committed to advancing digital opportunity.
Greater Grace Temple of David and Bishop Charles H. Ellis, III, the church pastor, are co-hosting this pivotal event in Detroit, Michigan. It will also be simultaneously streamed online via Zoom, ensuring accessible participation from coast to coast. Min. Dominique Grant-King, Associate Pastor of Ebenezer Everywhere, will serve as the Zoom host.
“As community anchors, Black churches occupy a distinguished and valued role in guiding their congregations spiritually and navigating the complexities of today’s world. In our increasingly digital society, the gap between those with access to technology and those without has become more apparent, influencing areas such as education, health, employment, and the ability to maintain connections with others. Recognizing the critical role Black churches play in their communities and their mission to serve, Black Churches 4 Digital Equity Coalition believes they must be involved in significant initiatives such as the Juneteenth National Digital Opportunity Bible Study to empower and equip Black communities with workforce development skills for an AI-driven job market,” says Dr. Fallon Wilson, MMTC Vice President of Policy.
