As pop, hip-hop, and algorithm-first consumption took over, the need to explain the record faded. Songs became moments, not movements. Does the audience miss them? The real loss wasn’t trivia — it was trust Those air talent created a feeling of: “If this person says it matters, it probably does.” That trust is gold. Algorithms can’t replace it. Voice tracking can’t fake it. And branding can’t substitute for it. The opportunity radio keeps overlooking Radio doesn’t need to turn every break into a lecture.
