Connoisseur Media has announced a series of programming and personnel changes across its Bay Area radio cluster, including expanded roles for Big Reid, Morris Knight, Ileana Matzorkis and Richie Brown.
Big Reid moves to mornings on 102.9 KBLX effective immediately, joining Freska and replacing Rudy Ortiz. Reid had been hosting afternoons on KBLX while also handling nights on KMVQ-FM (99.7 NOW). Connoisseur said plans for the newly opened KBLX afternoon and 99.7 NOW evening shifts will be announced later.
Morris Knight, who hosts afternoons on 96.5 KOIT, adds middays on 101.7 KKIQ, replacing Faith Alpher. Knight is a Pleasanton resident, giving him a local connection to KKIQ’s Tri-Valley and East Bay audience.
Ileana Matzorkis has been promoted to Regional Production Director. She currently oversees production for Connoisseur’s San Francisco stations and will continue hosting nights on KOIT. In her expanded position, Matzorkis will work across the company’s Bay Area properties on production and collaboration.
Richie Brown adds Music Director duties for KOIT and KEZR (Mix 106.5). Brown will continue as Program Coordinator for KOIT, KBLX and KEZR.
“These upgrades reflect our continued commitment to investing in great talent and delivering an even better experience for our audience,” said Brian “Fig” Figula, Regional Operations Manager for Connoisseur Media Bay Area. “Each of these individuals brings a unique set of skills and experience to their expanded roles, and together they strengthen our ability to serve our listeners, our communities and our partners across the Bay Area.”
