CNN journalist Anderson Cooper donates his entire $8.5 million bonus and sponsorship earnings to a homeless shelter initiative, helping to build 150 housing units and 300 shelter beds. “I’ve seen the struggles of the homeless up close throughout my life, and I’ve always felt that if I had the opportunity, I would give back in a way that truly matters,” Anderson Cooper said at the press conference. “No one should have to sleep on the streets.”
