
BlackSun Private Equity, Inc. (“BlackSun”) today announced that Gary Bernstein, President of Oceanic Tradewinds, Inc., will serve in an independent advisory capacity as Senior Strategic Advisor for Media, Content and Broadcast. Bernstein will advise BlackSun on strategies involving content development and distribution, talent and creator relationships, brand partnerships, sports and entertainment initiatives, and the evaluation of radio and other media opportunities. Bloomberg reported on August 20, 2026, that BlackSun has raised $1 billion for Mega Fund I, its inaugural investment vehicle, and is targeting $7 billion to invest across sports, media, entertainment and technology.
Bernstein brings extensive experience developing broadcast talent, creating and syndicating programming, and connecting content, brands and distribution platforms. His work also includes pioneering creator-economy initiatives spanning touring, music and multiplatform media. Working with BlackSun’s leadership and outside advisors, he will help shape disciplined strategies designed to build durable media properties and culturally relevant audience platforms.
