Black History Is Worth Protecting

Urban radio should support and spread the word to get out and vote. Black History Month exists because Black people refused to let our stories be erased. This year marks 100 years since communities first organized to make sure Black history was told honestly. That work mattered then — and it still matters now.

Over the past few years, Black history has been under attack. Books are being removed. Truth is being softened. And our communities are being pushed out of decisions that affect our lives.
