The recent doctoral graduation and USA Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award ceremony hosted by the prestigious LECBU university in Atlanta with Dr. Verna Caddie, President & Founder and Dr. Ashley Little, V.P. and Chancellor was an extraordinary event that celebrated a diverse group of distinguished A-list honorees and high-profile celebrity guests from Tyrese Gibson, Rickey Smiley, Jennifer Freeman, D-Nice, Brandi Harvey, Claudia Jordan, composer tech innovator Spud among other iconic celebrities and renowned entrepreneurs.

At the forefront of this momentous occasion was Brely Evans, a versatile and gifted talent hailing from Oakland, California. With an impressive array of skills and accolades spanning acting, producing, singing, motivational speaking, comedy, voice-over work, and published authorship. She has established herself as a vibrant force in the entertainment industry.

Her vibrant charisma and infectious charm have captivated audiences worldwide, particularly through her role as a spokesperson for Jenny Craig, where she inspired individuals globally with her personal health and fitness journey. Evans’ on-screen credits are equally as impressive, with notable film and television appearances in projects such as Just Wright, Sparkle, He’s Mine Not Yours, and the hit soap drama Ambitions on the OWN network, where she plays the leading role of Rondell Lancaster.

Her recent portrayal of Sonya Duncan in Carl Weber’s popular hit series The Family Business on BET Plus and other major streaming platforms has catapulted her to new heights of acting recognition.

Recently, she has been on tour with The Carl Weber’s Book national tour, sharing the stage with stars from the BET+ series The Family Business.

“Being honored with a Doctor of Performing Arts Degree is a blessing I didn’t know to ask God for! Now I will serve with an even greater amount of passion and tenacity. It means the world to me that LECBU recognized me as deserving. I’m looking forward to teaching at the University in 2025” says Brely Evans.

The profound talents she brings to the masses have not gone unrecognized, as Evans was honored with the prestigious NAACP Theater Award for Best Supporting Actress in 2019.

Beyond her impressive artistic accomplishments, she is also a dynamic and positive entrepreneur who has leveraged her platform to edify, empower, and encourage others to live out their purpose through perseverance, ambition, and passion. Through her organization, Water Walkers Worldwide, she inspires individuals to overcome their fears and courageously pursue their dreams.
