YouTube is back in the news, and it seems like they are looking to give Spotify and Apple Music come real competition. Today the word on the e-streets is that YouTube Set To Launch A Paid Music Streaming Service. The news comes from reports from Bloomberg, which indicates the video streaming platform will be offering a subscription-based music service this coming March.
The platform is rumored to be called “Remix,” and news is that the company is in talks with Sony Music Entertainment and Universal Music Group. This is indeed interesting news, but what will change? Will be able to still search for that music video that we forgot about? Do we really want to trade our playlists for this? Only time will tell, but we will certainly keep you posted on any news in the meantime. Speak your thoughts on the news below and give us your thoughts in the comments. Stay tuned for much more from YouTube coming soon.
