NPR affiliate WSGE 91.7FM Charlotte’s assistant program director/music director, top ten songwriter and film writer, producer and director Tim Greene kicked off his “Tim Greene’s Kids & Teens Radio Conferences”recently in Detroit Michigan.
The purpose of the conferences are to give kids and teens a voice on what they think will improve their communities as well as to help find the next generation of radio personalities. “These young people have great ideas on how to improve their communities and on how to change a negative mindset to a positive productive mindset.
I witnessed how these young people went from I hope to be successful in life toI am going to be successful in life”says Greene. Prizes given out at the Detroit conference included bicycles and laptop computers. The 20 city tour will serve hundreds of kids and teens in underserved communities as well as include hundreds of foster kids and will make stops in New York City, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Baltimore, Washington, Houston, Dallas, Chicago, San Francisco, Miami, Cleveland, Memphis and Atlanta over the next few months. You will be able to hear Tim Greene’s Kids & Teens Radio Conferences on podcast later in the year.
