Studio Center Total Production has launch a high-stakes nationwide voice-over talent search — The Next Great Voice Talent. The grand prizewinner, as determined by a panel of judges, will receive a $100,000 voiceover contract from Studio Center. The competition kicked off last week in Richmond, VA; today and tomorrow the action moves to New York City as hordes of V/O hopefuls descend upon the palatial Studio Center Total Production facility at 315 Madison Avenue.
This competition is open to humans 18 and older who are non-union and currently not under contract. This is two days of open auditions at the Studio Center locations in the participating cities and two weeks of online voting. Contestants will be judged on such criteria as vocal pitch and tone, uniqueness of voice, pronunciation, acting ability, copy interpretation and accent versatility. The next round of competition takes place in Las Vegas on February 14 & 15, Santa Monica on February 28 & March 1 and Virginia Beach, VA on March 14 & 15. One winner from each market will compete in the finals in Virginia Beach on April 12. Complete contest info is available at thenextgreatvoicetalent.com.
