Movers & Shakers, consist of music industry talents all working toward a common goal to better the music entertainment industry. Our goal for Movers and Shakers is to bridge the gap between industry representatives and artists. Movers & Shakers is continuing to grow each quarter. It is designed to educate music industry socialites and give you the participant a chance to market and promote your business product to some of the industry known Movers & Shakers. This event will be held Sunday, March 17, 2013 in Montgomery, Alabama at Montgomery’s newest venue, Irish Bred Pub located at 78 Dexter Avenue, Montgomery, Alabama 36104. This Red Carpet Music Taster starts at 4:00pm and will prove to be an informative and entertaining event.
Coach Carter Movers and Shakers Music Breaker provides a platform where aspiring industry talents, A&R’s , managers, producers, radio administrators, radio djs, club djs, disc jockeys, video jockeys, photographers, graphic/web designers, entertainment/accountant attorneys, models, entrepreneurs and professionals can all work towards a common goal to unify the music community. Our organization would like to create a thriving music scene by bringing in the top entertainers, professionals, and moguls in the music entertainment industry to mentor and educate through their success stories and experiences. Movers and Shakers Music Breaker puts you face to face with some of the world’s most successful music business leaders, all who willingly share their knowledge and expertise and give you the know-how to take your music to the next level. Movers and Shakers Music Breaker was design unify industry executives on a lead panel, exploring the best practices on how to market your music and succeed in the music industry, enhancing skills in product development, business models, and marketing.
About Coach Carter: John “Coach” Carter enjoyed his first taste in the music industry at an early age – “Moving record crates at 11 years old you can experience a lot.” In high school he volunteered for Clear Channel radio station Hot 105 Teen Board, where he started developing his on air voice discussing topics that were affecting teens; and working behind the scenes of the stations most popular concerts. As an undergrad at Troy University, he worked with super producer Kevin Khao- Cates, marketing and managing artists and learning that the business consists of 95% grind work and 5% music.
John secured his first account with Rap-A-Lot Records, owner Xavier James. “Coach” was contracted to promote Hip-Hop artists Scarface, Bun B, Juvenile, and Z-Ro on historically black colleges within the south-eastern region of the country. Under Manager Snake at B.M.E., John began booking, marketing, and recording the rap group, Trill-ville. In and 2009 John Coach Carter was honored in publication Montgomery Adveriser nominated for Martin Luther King Spirit Award for his career and community service. The next year, he created Movers in Shakers Music Breaker, his goal being to foster the gap between independents and majors labels and successfully create opportunity for music professionals and industry talents. With family ties to Mary J. Blige and DJ Chub Rock, John “Coach” Carter reveals that the business of music runs in his blood.
