Entercom San Francisco today announced two moves elevating both Mia Amor to Morning Drive and “Hoodrat” Miguel to Afternoon Drive on The Throwback Station, Q102. Mia Amor will join Joey V. in mornings and both appointments will take effect immediately.
“This is a very exciting time for Q102,” said Elroy Smith, Operations Manager, Entercom San Francisco. “It’s a luxury to be able to elevate two well-deserved Q102 on-air personalities to morning and afternoon drive. Mia’s energy will bring fun, witty and relatable content to Q102’s morning show with Joey V. Moving Miguel to afternoon drive is a natural evolution for his accomplished career. His spirit and competitiveness will generate lots of excitement for our listeners as they drive home.”
Mia Amor is a radio veteran whose career spans a wide-range of formats including Regional Mexican, Top 40, Urban and Rhythmic CHR. She began her career at KYLD 94.9-FM and KDON 102.5-FM before moving to Las Vegas to host mornings at KVEG HOT 97.5-FM.
“I’m thankful that Entercom has given me the opportunity to represent the Q brand in Morning Drive,” said Mia Amor. “I’m excited to raise the bar and add a different element to mornings that our listeners can look forward to daily.”
Miguel is no stranger to the radio industry. He’s a Bay Area native with stints at KYLD 94.9-FM in San Francisco, KKFR 92.3-FM in Phoenix, KPWR 105.9-FM in Los Angeles and most recently host of The Takeover Show on KRBQ 102.1-FM evenings from 7pm to Midnight. A search for Miguel’s replacement in evenings is currently underway.
“This is amazing,” said Miguel. “I was born and raised in the Bay Area and to have the opportunity to host afternoon drive is a dream come true. The Takeover Show is ready, and I plan to do just that.”
