Colin Kaepernick got some support from band members of ECU this past weekend. East Carolina University’s band took a knee during last weeks National Anthem, and some refused to play it before the game. Then during their ECU halftime performance were boo’ed. The university president says band members have a right to express themselves.
Now here’s part two. The local station that carries ECU sports an ESPN affiliate (WFAY AM/FM) owned by Colonial Media and Entertainment has announced it will not air ECU’s football games because of the protest. The station says it will “protest the protesters.” More insite here.
