It starts today. The Black Women’s Expo (BWE), the three-day, experiential exposition celebrating the aspirations and achievements of women of African descent, will open today at the Georgia World Congress Center. The event will kick off at 10:00 a.m. with a Press Conference and Ribbon Cutting at the GWCC, Exhibit Hall C2. The founder of BWE, Merry Green, will be joined by local dignitaries, politicians and sponsors, as well as activist and voting rights advocates.
Under the theme “She Matters,” the BWE offers women an opportunity to get informed, empowered and enlightened, while discovering the latest trends and amazing new products and services specifically created for them. The Black Women’s Expo, founded in Chicago, is now the longest running exposition of its kind, and celebrated 22 years this spring.
Presented by My Black is Beautiful (MBIB), in partnership with Walgreens, the BWE expects over 20,000 people to attend during its three-day run in Atlanta.
